I’m a passionate advocate for art and music’s role in our society and its inherent potential to create new communities and make us question and reflect on our common world, relations and society. Whether it be music, fine arts or literature, my personal standpoint is that art is so much more than merely nice to have – it serves as a necessary foundation and catalyst for many existential modes of being and offers a unique place to withdraw, wonder and gain perspectives.
My passion for experimental and contemporary music and art goes back to my teenage years. Here, I got involved with local festivals and concert promoters in Aarhus and gained experience with both booking, promotion, fundraising, volunteer coordination and much more. At the same time, I began writing about music for different independent media, including Passive/Aggressive.
In 2016, I took part in launching and running the volunteer-driven music venue TAPE. The venue presented experimental and contemporary music across a broad genre spectrum from both Denmark and abroad and gained national recognition for it’s booking profile and sense of community.
From 2023-2026, I worked as Editor-in-chief for the independent music media Passive/Aggressive, which covers experimental music from the Danish scenes. Passive/Aggressive has been running for the past 14 years and is an acknowledged media for it’s in-depth and original criticism and coverage, written by professional academics, journalists, philosophers, artists and more. Besides all editorial work, I was also responsible for fundraising and our external collaborations.
As of today, I’ve worked for the Danish music organization Art Music Denmark for the past 4 years as Communication Manager and Project Manager; an organisation which promotes and supports classical and contemporary music as well as sound art. Besides the full responsibility for all aspects of their communications – spanning annual reports, SoMe and strategic communication counseling – I also work with sound art-related projects, including international residencies, collaborations and much more.
In different contexts, I’ve work with the topics of cultural criticism’s role in contemporary society and media landscape as well as big tech’s and streaming platforms’ impact on the artistic ecosystems, both through different projects, public panel discussions and opinion pieces for Danish media.
